HID Xenon Conversion Kit

Be as specific as possible, include as much information as possible and be patient for advice - we're all new to the S197 but there's a lot of knowledge out there.

Mine are the same ones as yours Dave (bought within hours of each other) but although they are better than the standard candle, they are not WOW!! They are bright as hell when you look at them and the first 20yds is like daylight, but switching between low & high beam makes little difference in distance visability. You do see them changing but not much.

Geeza clue where I could have gone wrong. They were just plug n play so the only thing needing doing would have been the headlamp height adjuster thingy.......yeh?

I just fitted a kit from here http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/ UK sourced, easy to fit and it all works - so far.

Just waiting for it to go dark to see if there's any improvement over stock.

Bloody hell they're good. I can actually see at night now.

Slight issue in that main beam doesn't work/do anything, but I'm sure that's nothing to worry about :)

This is the baby - has hi/low connectors and should work. I've mailed them for an answer, my only concern is that the light may well just be on full beam all the time. That said, no one flashed me.

Quick phone call to the supplier and they're sending me an auxiliary loom/relay thingy. I hope that does the trick as I really cannot live without these lights - they really are the difference between night and day.

I hope they work as it would be good to be able to recommend a UK based supplier that was helpful too.

Keep you posted...

Bugger. New loom bit arrived yesterday but now instead of having no difference between high beam and lo beam, I just have the same amount of light on lo beam and nothing at all on high.

I'll give 'em a call on Monday to see if they can shed any light (see what I did there), but otherwise I'm stumped.

Another update and sadly I can't recommend them. The light quality is brilliant, but now I have one bulb out, so it's back to candle power for me :(

dont get me wrong but you should of bought the vme ones

and the reason why not with head lamps that come on when you unlock is simple

you drain the battey very quickly with the inverters
